Acupuncture Treatment in Perth

How it can help

Rooted in more than two thousand years of Chinese medicine and increasingly supported by modern research, acupuncture encourages circulation, calms the nervous system and helps the body return to balance.

At Catching Young, every treatment begins with a careful consultation so your points and treatment plan are tailored to your individual condition and constitution.

One therapy reaches a wide range of complaints because treatment addresses the pattern behind your symptoms. We commonly treat acute and chronic pain, headaches and migraines, stress and low mood, sleep difficulties, digestive complaints and women's health concerns, and we will tell you plainly what acupuncture can and cannot do for your situation.

What is acupuncture?

Acupuncture is the central therapy of traditional Chinese medicine. Very fine, single-use needles are placed at points along pathways known as meridians, chosen from more than 500 points on the body to suit your condition. In Chinese medicine terms, this restores the natural flow of Qi and blood, which can become blocked through stress, injury or poor lifestyle habits.

Modern research suggests acupuncture stimulates the nervous system, prompting the body to release its own natural painkillers and anti-inflammatory chemicals while improving circulation and encouraging the body's healing response. Most people find treatment relatively painless; the needles are so fine that insertion can feel like a mosquito bite. If you would rather avoid needles altogether, we offer electronic acupuncture instead.

What to expect

1A consultation covering your health history and goals
2Gentle insertion of sterile, single-use needles
320–40 minutes of comfortable rest while the needles work
4Advice on lifestyle, diet and follow-up care
